Graphite electrodes
Graphite electrode refers to a kind of high temperature resistant graphite conductive material made through processing with needle coke as aggregate and coal pitch as binder. It can be used for electric arc furnace steelmaking, silicon making, yellow phosphorus making, etc. Based on furnace electric current capability, graphite electrodes are classified into different grades accordingly. Among them, HP and UHP graphite electrodes are mainly used for steelmaking high-power and ultra-high power electric furnaces. HP graphite electrode is mainly used for ultra high power electric arc furnaces with the current density range of 18–25 A/cm2.

Package
The graphite electrode is packed in wooden crates, and the nipples are packed in wooden cases or pre-set in the electrodes. Electrodes would be covered with polythene sheet to protect the same from dust and moisture, and fasten with steel strips, which is good looking and firm. Proper and safe seaworthy packing, easy for forklift handling. Necessary measures would be provided to avoid possible damages to nipple threads-such as protective foam and rubber caps.
